Launch of EcoTrapInXtra Waterless Urinal Retrofit Kit at IIA International Innovation Fair

Government of Telangana hosted IIA International Innovation Fair from 1st to 3rd Dec 2019 NSIC, Hyderabad. This third edition of IIF was organised by Indian Innovators Association and supported by various Ministries, Industry Associations and premier Indian R&D Institutes.

Tapu exhibited at booth no.12 and launched first of its kind, EcoTrapInXtra Waterless Urinal Retrofit Kit. The technology is funded and supported by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India . What is EcoTrapInXtra Waterless Urinal? How does dryTrap technology works? How 1,67,900 liters of potable water is conserved? All such queries were addressed to curious jury and visitors.

Worldwide innovations from more than 30 countries had been part of the event, showcasing technologies across sectors viz. automobile, energy, environment, defense etc. Germany, Japan, Singapore, Iran, Africa and many more countries were part of the fair with technology driven products.

Korean International Women’s Invention Exposition – EcoTrapInXtra Innovation Award

Hurray! EcoTrapInXtra Waterless Urinal won awards for Creative Invention and made India proud at Korean International Women’s Invention Exposition on June 20 2019 hosted by

Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) and organized by Korea Women Inventors Association (KWIA).

Its the only global-level exposition for women inventors, KIWIE consisted of exhibition, contests, academic symposiums and educational programs as a world festival for invention. Tapu, exhibited EcoTrapInXtra waterless urinal among 373 inventions from 28 countries (Korean participation: 225 inventions, Overseas participation: 148 inventions from 27 countries) Its been a privilege to be invited and selected by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India and Indian Innovators Association to represent India at KWIA.

EcoTrapIn (patent applied) waterless urinal environment friendly (green) sanitation technology is awarded under PRISM (Promoting Innovations In Individuals, Start-Ups and MSMEs) scheme, aim at to recognise disruptive innovations which will enable to achieve the agenda of inclusive development. The product saves 1,67,900 litre of potable water per urinal per year which enhances hygiene and makes restroom dry germ free. It’s retrofit innovative design converts conventional urinal into waterless urinal thus has no shifting cost. Government Department of Scientific and Industrial Research recognise the need of hour technology, to benefit people and society at large. The support of PRISM scheme helped in development of EcoTrapIn^Xtra, an advanced 3rd version.
