EcoTrapIn waterless urinal technology that saves 1,67,900 liter of water per urinal per year, won bronze medal for high social impact water conservation and sanitation. EcoTrapIn (patent applied) waterless urinal environment friendly (green) sanitation technology is awarded under PRISM (Promoting Innovations In Individuals, Start-Ups and MSMEs) scheme, aim at to recognise disruptive innovations which will enable to achieve the agenda of inclusive development. The product saves 1,67,900 litre of potable water per urinal per year which enhances hygiene and makes restroom dry germ free. It’s retrofit innovative design converts conventional urinal into waterless urinal thus has no shifting cost. Government Department of Scientific and Industrial Research recognise the need of hour technology, to benefit people and society at large. The support of PRISM scheme helped in development of EcoTrapInXtra, an advanced 3rd version.
